Room BTU Calculator

Sizing a radiator for a room is not as easy as just putting in what was already there, radiators are now more efficient than they were in years past and as such rooms need to be re-calculated so that you are not over heating the room with a radiator of too much output and therefore using more energy than is required. Using the calculator below you will be able to accurately size your radiators and then find the ideal size for you room. Not only meaning you will feel comfortable in the room but also be safe in the knowledge that you are only using the amount of energy necessary and save yourself money on fuel bills.

 House Summary

Below you will see the outputs of the radiators you require in BTU (British Thermal Units). Adding the total for all the rooms in your house or flat  will give you the demand in BTUs for the whole house. Add approx 12,000 BTU to the total for a hot water cylinder and 10% for general losses. This will then give you the boiler size you need for your house.
